Authoring a play with Mark Rylance
I'm currently working with Oscar - winning actor and writer Sir Mark Rylance on an epic theatrical work set in late 19th century Pittsburgh. We've spent time working on it in London, New York and most recently in Pittsburgh where we participated in events marking the 125th anniversary of the Battle of Homestead, a seminal moment in US industrial relations which resonates to this day.

My Russian Childhood
In this storytelling piece I explore the influence my father’s Russian-Jewish ancestry had on me as a child. From the comfort of a centrally heated suburban home in the 70s I liked to imagine snow drifts, forests, samovars and balalaikas. These images helped me explain myself to myself: my moods, tastes and talents.
Original music by Sean O’Hagan of The High Llamas.
The show has been developed at BAC, JW3, and Rich Mix in London.
Collaborating with the award winning Valerie Buhagiar on 'Peter and Valerie'
Valerie Buhagiar is an award winning actor and filmmaker based in Toronto who I met whilst co-leading a workshop programme in Banff, Canada. We worked through email and skype initially, then in London and Scotland before performing at the Magnetic North Festival in Ottawa. Valerie is a consummate actor of great experience, and it was a challenge and pleasure to create and perform 'Peter and Valerie' with her.
